So, I'd like to thank everyone for getting out and voting for our new President Elect Barack Obama. I like to think that my last post was the actual difference in our country electing Obama...What an amazing day that was, definitely one for the history books and one that I know I will never forget...Saw Quantum of Solace last weekend with my lovely wife at the lovely Arclight theatre in Hollywood. I'd have to say that it was probably my favorite Bond movie, quite a good film. Daniel Craig is the perfect mix of bruting action star and suave gentlemen, always looking the part...Thanksgiving one week from today, I hope we have one of these

Old Pro
So as of today, Mrs. Smiley and I have been married one month! I know its been a long time since my last entry, but man has it been busy, fun, crazy times. So obviously, we had the wedding and all that comes with it. Then we had our amazing ten day honeymoon in Puerto Vallarta, and on top of all of that, we finalized the purchase of our condo and since we came back from PV we have been non-stop getting the house together. I know a lot of the people that read the blog were at the wedding, so I hope you all had a great time, we loved having everyone there together, we have amazing friends and family.
Now that things have settled down a bit I'm gonna keep at this thing a bit more, as well as post wedding, honeymoon photos soon.
Peace and Love

Check it out...
This site, http://www.boston.com/bigpicture/, is amazing and one that I check on an almost daily basis. There may be some disturbing (war) images, but it is mostly filled with beautiful photography.

28 days...
28 days...Man things are really starting to heat up over here. Soooo much going on and it seems like my list of things to do gets longer everyday! But we keep trudging through it all and everything is just coming together great. It's pretty unbelievable when you think you lead a busy life normally, and then to tack on two giant things like planning a wedding and buying a place, and still make it out ok on the
other end...crazy stuff.
So another countdown, 5 days to be exact, till 10 fine young gentlemen wreak havoc in sin city. I cannot wait...
those guys up there will be there...

Idle
Well I'm sittin here in my tiny studio, waitin for a call from somebody from the "Main council", I believe Charlie referred to them as...might as well blog. Had a grand ol' time at Malarkies last night, tis a fun little bar. Tossed a few back and grooved to the latest top 40. Today, woke up a tad bit dreary from the aforementioned events, but didn't want to let that hold me back. Had a good work out at Agassi, delicious lunch at Daffy's and took care of some wedding/house stuff. Tonight its (hopefully) all the brothers in arms, once again a night of libations, and this time, better music (hopefully).

Yes and no. Yes it brings me great sadness to deliver the news that my precious (expensive) iPhone has been smashed. No that photo is not really my iPhone (googled "smashed iPhone"), but it looks a hell of a lot like that. What a shame. So for the time being, my poor thumbs will be communicating via the corporate standard, a Blackberry. I'd like to remember the good times I had with my sweet Apple communication device, like stroking and pinching my way through my latest collection of 2MP images, hacking it and restoring it after half the touch screen stopped working, downloading all of the quality 3rd party games that are unbelievably free, i.e. iPint.

First
...First! Ever read that on blog message boards when people write that? Honestly, come on, comma, haba. So in all actuality, "First" does symbolize so many things in my life right now, i.e. this blog, getting married!, purchasing real estate!, getting healthy, yup, wow, amazing stuff.
So I figured now, if not never, would be the best time to blog about all of this fun stuff. We've got about 6 weeks left till the big day, and plans are coming together wonderfully. It's gonna be awesome, and going to be great to see all of your beautiful faces in the same place at the same time! Please check out our website www.joshandtashasmiley.com.
So last night, Charlie, Drew and I went to check out the new Star Wars "Film" (if you can call it such a thing), Star Wars: Clone Wars. Wow, as a Star Wars nerd, film school grad, and just general consumer, I am severely embarrassed for this film. The quality of this atrocity hit the lowest of the lows. The animation was poor, the plot completely lacked direction, and the screen writing was unimaginably horrid. It made me long for the days of such "Masterpieces" as The Phantom Menace. Seriously, what were they thinking with this thing? It is obviously just about the money these days for old Georgey, I can only thank God that he was sane long enough to give us the original trilogies of Star Wars and Indiana Jones.
Well thats my rant for the day. This weekend should be good, getting fitted for my final tux tomorrow, Adens turning the big 4 on Sunday and maybe see Tropic Thunder and only hope for some decent film making.
Thanks for listening...
